Our Showtime Evening

If you were not at our Social on Friday 14th June you missed a very special evening. The theme was “showtime” and “showtime” it certainly was! The Ringtones, conducted by Ian, gave songs from the shows and we all joined in. The “vibe” in the hall was very specially themed silver and black. These colours were highlighted everywhere from personal dress to table and hall décor. Our entertainments committee always strive to make these events special and it was again an evening to remember. Well done to all concerned.

Local U3As around Rainworth have co-operated to bring the University of the Third  Age to people who are retired, or no longer in full-time employment, living in Rainworth, Blidworth, Bilsthorpe, Farnsfield and South of Mansfield.

You can now join interest groups which meet together to develop and expand  their activities and hobbies.Members meet monthly at Rainworth Village Hall on the second Wednesday of every month (10.00am - 12.00) to share interests in a growing list of subjects, such as local history, lunches, gardening, 'trips and visits', literature etc.  New activities are being added in the as members request them

We keep learning or keep fit joining-in with physical activities like walking with our strollers group

There are informative and entertaining speakers at most monthly meetings and opportunities to socialise on theatre visits,  concerts and garden visits, lunches and group holidays too.

Please email web@rainworth-u3a.org.uk if you'd like to register your interest now, or join us at our monthly meeting with tea, coffee and biscuits, and you'll meet dozens of like-minded local people who  are already taking the opportunity  to make new friends and enrich their retirement.
