At last month’s AGM, you will recall that no- one came forward to offer themselves as Chair.
We have resolved the situation for the time being with a job-share.
Our committee meetings will be taken by Jean Bingham. She is currently vice-chair and membership secretary, and sits at the back welcoming new members and signing people in.
The monthly main meetings will be taken by Linden Lowe, who has been co-opted onto the committee.
This is not a permanent solution. In fact, this time next year more committee members will have come to the end of their term of office.
So please think about what you can offer to keep us going in committee terms. The infrastructure is there in place. We have a good set-up of groups, speakers, parties, coffee mornings and activities.
And so we carry on, as described above.
