We were invited to promote our u3a at the open day as our Book Group meets there on the 3^rd Friday of each month, 10am-12.

Following an extensive refurbishment, the library has been planned to meet the needs of library users and community groups and is a great flexible space creating a welcoming atmosphere and staff always ready to help with queries.

Many local groups and users attended, along with staff from Inspire Libraries; John Ogle, Chairman of Notts County Council; local Parish Councillors and many members of the public who all enjoyed free drinks and cake after the ribbon was officially cut! Our Book Group leader, Betty, came and was caught on camera with John Ogle! Other u3a members also supported the event.

It was a busy morning with people asking about the u3a organisation and good to meet other groups who support and use this public service.
